I'm a New Yorker working/interning in D.C. after graduating from Brandeis University in May 2007. I'm into politics, but the kind of changing stuff and accomplishing something, notthe horserace of elections. My favorite color is blue. I love sushi and most other east or southeast asian food. I would describe myself politically as a conservative-tempered liberal with non-doctrinaire views. I like good quotes, especially ones related to politics. I know the Yankees are the best team in baseball. My favorite tv shows probably reflect on my attitude and interests: The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Simpsons, Scrubs, Battlestar Galactica (the new series), Arrested Development, PBS Frontline, South Park, and the West Wing. My favorite movies are things like Children of Men, The Prestige, The Shawshank Redemption, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Simpsons Movie, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, 12 Angry Men, and Blazing Saddles.
I'm here to get experience and to learn more before going to grad school in I.R. I'm also interested in science generally, astronomy, philosophy of mind, psychology, and history.

The books I'm trying to read (almost all at once) are Einstein, by Walter Isaacson; The World Without Us, by Alan Weisman; Common Sense, by Thomas Paine; and The Onion's Our Dumb World (an Atlas). My other favorites are Guns, Germs, and Steel; Washington's Crossing by David Hackett Fischer (a great former professor); America (The Book): A citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction; 1984, A Man For All Seasons, a play by Robert Bolt; Dracula; Frankenstein; and Stephen Colbert's I Am America (And So Can You!).

Also, I usually carry a copy of the U.S. Constitution with me. yea, I'm cool like that.
